Some entries are about services that run only on some sites of the 4 Network. See Which sites have which services.

#October 2026

#A Help Center with guides by goal

Every site now has this Help Center at /help/: articles for each part of 4Search, a glossary, common questions and guides that start from what you want to do, such as tracking a stock or planning a trip. Guide: Guides by goal.

#The front page by topic

The home page now reads like a newspaper: the day's stories in groups, one per topic, each story shown once with the number of outlets that carry it, and the most widely covered first. A lead story in each group has its picture and opening words. Topics you follow come first, under Your topics. Guide: Stay on top of a topic.

#Follow topics

Select Follow on a topic's page, or the star beside its name, to add it to Your topics. Followed topics lead your front page and are offered on News results so you can search inside them in one click. Guide: Stay on top of a topic.

#Full coverage inside a topic

Full coverage on a result card searches the entire index for other reports on the same story, and the arrow beside it now narrows that search to one level of the card's topic path. Guide: Check how a story is covered.

#Operators for the Web column

Google-style operators such as site:, filetype: and after: now go to the Web column as you typed them, while the News column searches your other words. You see the narrowed web pages and the coverage from every outlet side by side. Guide: Search like a pro.

#A topic finder

Type some words on the Topics tab and it suggests the topics best suited to them, each with a button that runs your words inside that topic. Guide: Stay on top of a topic.

#Length and sentiment filters

The filter row now has a length menu, with minimums from 50+ words to 1,000+ words and a custom range, and a Sentiment menu from 1 (most negative) to 10 (most positive). Results change as soon as you choose. Guide: Search like a pro.

#Politics

A Politics tab for following the U.S. government: every member of Congress with their votes, bills and committees, roll-call votes with each party's split, bills, executive actions and federal rules, all beside the news. The Elections page shows every Senate race, the governor races and the most traded House races with prediction-market odds, each race has its own page, and a Following page collects what changed on the members, bills, races and markets you follow. Short AI Briefings sum up member, bill, vote and race pages when AI answers are on, and when neither chamber has voted for three days, the overview says when each last voted. Guide: Follow an election.

#Weather

Forecasts for any U.S. ZIP code or city and for cities around the world, an animated radar map, National Weather Service alerts, hurricane tracking, a monthly calendar and weather news. Set a home place and follow other places to see them side by side on My places. Guides: Prepare for severe weather and Plan a trip.

#Maps

A map of the world you can search: places and addresses, kinds of places such as coffee or gas with Open now, directions by car, on foot or by bike with up to ten stops, satellite, terrain and live maps such as radar and earthquakes, a data center map, and saved places kept in your browser. Guide: Plan a trip.

#Predictions

A Predictions tab that puts the odds from four prediction-market venues in one place, for elections, the economy, sports, crypto and more, with the money behind each market, the biggest moves, where the venues disagree, a track record of how markets have done, and a Following page for the markets you watch. Guide: Read prediction markets.

#Auto date window and time phrases

The date menu now starts on Auto, which picks how far back to look from the subject of your search and shows its choice, such as Auto (3 days). Words in your search such as today, this week or last month set the window too. Guide: Search like a pro.

#Finance

A Finance tab for money and markets: a page for every stock, fund, index, currency and coin with its price, chart, statistics and news, the day's movers, sectors, the economy, earnings, a watchlist kept in your browser, and indexes from around the world by region. Prediction-market odds now sit beside the instruments they are about, with a Predictions section of their own. Prices may be delayed up to 15 minutes. Guide: Track a stock.

#Shopping

On 4Search, the Shopping tab compares store prices: one search asks many stores at once, including specialist shops for what you named, and shows each offer's price, shipping, condition and when it was checked, with a page that compares one product store by store. Guide: Compare prices across stores.

#Web results as cards

Web results are now laid out as cards like the News ones, each with a Full coverage button that finds the reporting about that page. Guide: Check how a story is covered.

The footer now gathers the site's links in groups, with a Colour theme chooser and Get the app buttons for adding the site to your phone's home screen. Guide: Make 4Search yours.

#AI Mode with a results column and topics

AI Mode now shows the News results for your question in a column beside the chat, and can be limited to one topic with Ask AI about this topic on a topic's page. Guide: Research a question with AI Mode.
