12 people displaced after fire rips through home, spreads to another in Jersey City
1+ day, 9+ hour ago (197+ words) JERSEY CITY, New Jersey (WABC) -- At least a dozen people have been displaced after a fire ripped through a home and spread to another in New Jersey. The three-alarm fire broke out around 11:30 p.m. on Friday on John F. Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City. Officials say that heavy fire was reported on all three floors in the rear of the building that originally had caught fire. There was then a minor spread of flames to a neighboring home. Video captures firefighters on scene battling flames and assessing damage from the fire. While there was no structural collapse in either home, extensive ceiling and wall pulling was conducted in the buildings, officials said. Assembly lawmakers in New Jersey advance bill to legalize 'magic mushrooms"

It's called psilocybin, and adults over 21 would have access to the drug for mental health treatment. While hallucinogenic mushrooms are banned under federal law, some states and cities have legalized the psychedelic.
